Resort visitors will certainly enjoy the spotlessly clean pool and well-tended grounds. There are also hammocks in the nearby grove for visitors to use. Kiteboarders and windsurfers will enjoy the fact that there is always a brisk ocean breeze blowing on Long Bay Beach, just feet from your front door. Parents with small children will also be glad to learn that the ocean just outside their door has calm, shallow water. The bay is protected by a distant reef and the water is only a few feet deep for quite a ways out. Therefore, there are no sudden drop-offs or large waves to worry about.

The beach tends to be pleasantly isolated, except for the occasional set of horseback riders, because the villas are in a rather remote location. With this in mind, those staying here should probably look into renting a car for the duration of their stay. The nearest grocery store is about 5 to 10 minutes away, but there are also a number of restaurants and shops found in the nearby town.

  1. Hi, we are a family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) and are searching for an adventure place to stay for our 50th wedding anniversary trip. We’re hoping to locate in one villa. Would you be able to help?

      • Hi Michael, we just booked Windhaven villas and we are going down with a family of 16. I have two young children and I was trying to figure out where the best rooms and the best locally situated area would be for myself and my children to stay. Do you think we are better off in the four-bedroom or to put them and myself and one of the two bedroom Condos on the beach?

Firstly, so sorry for the late reply…

You couldn’t go wrong with either option. We loved the one closer to the beach (that’s the one we stayed in). It’s great to be only feet from the beach.

Though, like I said, both options are great!
